| Abstract | The National Silk Cocoon Purchasing Committee's recent report on the spring silk cocoon purchasing work shows the national output of Spring cocoons as down by 32.3 percent, and the purchase of Summer cocoons in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Shandong and Anhui by 54.5 percent. The total output for 1996 will be reduced by 45.8 percent to 377,000t, from which about 46,000t of raw silk can be produced. |
