AbstractThe European commission is about to impose provisional anti-dumping duties on imports into the 15 European Union countries of unbleached cotton fabrics from six countries -- India, Pakistan, China, Indonesia, Turkey and Egypt. The European Commissioner for External Trade, Sir Leon Brittan, had asked his fellow Commissioners in November 1996 to approve a decision to this end, using the so-called "written procedure".
