| Abstract | Offices of World Gold Council (WGC) in the Far East remain intact despite recent changes of its worldwide structure. The restructuring, which commenced at the end of 1997 and completed in March 1998, represents a shift in focus away from the developed markets in favour of the developing markets, essentially in Asia, regional chief executive officer for Far East at WGC, Kerr Cruikshanks, said.
