Abstract | Hong Kong is a city where the infrastructure has been prepared for a huge and rapid expansion of the population. With canny timing, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) put together a workshop to explore this issue, in conjunction with London's Architectural Association and Chinese University (CUHK). Under the title of Place with Space, a mixture of practitioners and students collaborated with a party of Hong Kong and AA guest tutors to explore the issue through nine days of daytime workshops and evening lectures, culminating in a presentation of participant work and a symposium. |
