Is Part OfTextile Asia : the Asian textile & apparel monthly ; v.27, no.10, Oct 1996, p.18, illus.
AbstractThe article features China which remains the largest apparel exporter to the United States, with 1996 sales through this May of $1,532 million, well ahead of Hong Kong with only $1,342 million. China's position appears to be eroding slightly as it holds only 11.2 percent of the import market versus 12.8 percent for 1995. Both woven and knit apparel are affected, with the former suffering the worst deterioration in sales.
