| Abstract | The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Hong Kong held a seminar on the subject of origin compliance strategies for the United States (US) market. Increased enforcement efforts by US Customs and local authorities as well as changes to both US and Hong Kong rules of origin laws have made the sourcing of apparel for the US market more difficult since 1996 after the US changed its rules or origin. The article features three actions for compliance, including education, verification and due diligence, and record keeping. |
