| Abstract | The article reports the technical tour to Tangshan conducted in late 1997, which was jointly organized by the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering (CSE) and the Institute of Engineering Mechanics (IEM) of the State Seismological Bureau in Harbin in China. The purpose of the tour is to understand the impact of earthquake,and to meet mainland experts involved in this field of study. |
