| Abstract | If one looks at the percentage of positive cultures among all specimens taken for isolation of influenza viruses as an indicator of influenza activity in the community during a given period, one can see that 1997 was not a particularly bad year for Hong Kong, except being "spoiled" by the H5N1 virus in December. The article examines whether Hong Kong is hit by another influenza epidemic. |
