| Abstract | The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issued for public consultation on 7 March 1997 a document which sets out a number of proposed amendments to the Financial Resources Rules (FRRs). The FRRs, which came into force in December 1993, were enacted to ensure that securities and futures dealers and advisers are financially sound, have sufficient realisable assets to meet liabilities, and have a cushion to cover unexpected market and credit risks. |
