| Abstract | Beijing Telecom has established a video-on-demand (VOD) pilot network, initially carrying out VOD service experiment and later launching games, distance learning and online-shopping. The article features the structure and scale of the network. It then outlines the features of VOD system, including its functions and system standard. It also looks at the main components of the network, such as the set top box (STB), access network system. The central equipment room of the network is mentioned. |
