| Abstract | Today Hong Kong faces competition as a maritime centre from Singapore. The Hong Kong Shipowners' Association (HKSOA) has started a dialogue with the semi-official Trade Development Council (TDC) to see how the latter can help promote Hong Kong as a regional shipping centre.
