| Abstract | According to Hongkong Bank Economic Report, Mainland China is increasingly gaining independence in exporting to global markets directly, bypassing Hong Kong which has until held a prominent role in distribution of Chinese manufactured goods to the world. The Report also states that the Special Administrative Region (SAR) is evolving into an offshore trading centre and trade related services in the territory will still benefit from the transition. |
