| Abstract | Both foreign vendors and the Chinese Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) have huge expectation of the mobile phone market in China, looking forward to seeing rewards to their commitment to the cellular cause. To jack up the capacity, the MPT has teamed up with the Chinese army to introduce Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), which is believed to be superior in capacity and performance, to the Chinese market. The MPT and Posts and Telecommunications Administration (PTAs) have also kicked off expansion projects for their mobile phone networks, in a bid to accommodate more customers. |
