Abstract | Hong Kong people will soon have a "home-made" cartoon. McMug, a well-known original Hong Kong cartoon character, will appear in a cartoon series on interactive Television (iTV) early in 1998. The article features the reasons of Mr. Eric Tse, McMug's publisher, for choosing iTV as the broadcast outlet instead of some other television operation that has more experience in broadcasting cartoons, and the difficulties Mr. Tse and his team encountered in the cartoon production. Also, the prospects of the development of cartoon in Hong Kong is given. |
