AbstractThe world of military aviation is getting smaller. The last Asian governments to splash out on jet fighters were Taipei and Beijing. Many experts believe that the last major purchase of the 20th century may have been the hotly contested order for 50 planes by United Arab Emirates. It was won by Dassault of France with its Mirage 2000-9. In order to preserve its global aviation supremacy, the United States spending billions to develop jet fighters for the 21st century.
