| Abstract | The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced the release of the third edition of the Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds on 11 December 1997, following a "housekeeping" review carried out earlier in 1997. The revised Code clarifies existing policies, and also includes new provisions designed to further strengthen the regulatory system for fund management and to protect investors. The major changes are summarized in the article. |
