| Abstract | The 1997's Interior-International Trade Fair for Interior Furnishings and Contract Business subscribed to the theory of, 'less quantity, more quality'. This situation came about partly through accident and partly through design. The exhibition date of the fair was changed at the last minute (in trade fair terms) meaning that several exhibitors pulled out. However, the organisers, Messe Frankfurt and Hong Kong Trade Development Council were not willing to sacrifice quality in order to fill booths and the fair went ahead only with those exhibitors whose products reached a certain standard. |
