| Abstract | With the rapid development of communications in China, the construction of subscriber loops in most major cities has not been rapid enough to keep up with the greatly increased capacity in exchange and transmission facilities, and has thus been a bottleneck in meeting service demands. Wireless access systems of various types have come into being in recent years along with new optic-fiber, coaxial and copper cable systems, and are fast developing as effective mans of access to user terminals. This is especially so in the developing countries because of their ease and economy in construction. It is to be expected that such systems will be developed in China too. The article gives an overview and analysis on the latest development of wireless access systems. |
