Abstract | In a surprise move, the Asian advertising industry has shown its support for tighter restrictions on tobacco advertising and promotion. In Taiwan, 100 percent of of respondents from the ABN-MEDIA Asian Advertising Industry Poll said tobacco companies should not be allowed to promote their product freely in Asia while in Hong Kong, the new legislation wipes out even below-the-line tobacco advertising. |
