AbstractThe 1997 China Ad Festival, held in early September 1997 in Guangzhou, attracted more than 300 media and advertising exhibitors from about 200 companies and government units in China and Hong Kong. China Advertising Association president Yang Pei Qing said the main purpose of the festival was to promote the country's advertising standards and to strengthen its world-wide competitiveness through cultural and work exchanges.
