| Abstract | As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, the Safety Specialist Group of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers held a Safety Conference with the Xinhua News Agency's support on 23 April 1997 (Wednesday) at Harbour Plaza, Hunghom, Kowloon. The theme of the conference was "The Hong Kong Engineers-Engineering for Public Safety" and the object was to promote understanding of the role and the achievements of engineers in safety management and to safeguard the public against risk. |
