| Abstract | Following three previous Hong Kong Institution of Engineers delegations to the Three Gorges, a fourth group visited the area from October 13-19, 1995. The group comprised 24 delegates from various disciplines including building, building services, civil, electronics, electrical, environmental, gas, mechanical and structural (plus information technology). Through site visits, briefings, discussions and information collected during the visit, the delegates gained a full appreciation of the background of the project, its scope and its benefits as well as the controversies surrounding it. This article gives their observations and findings. |
