Abstract | Szeto Wah - or Wah-suk (Under Wah) has he is popularly known in Hong Kong - has been a democratically elected legislative councillor since 1985. He is active in the Hong Kong Democratic Party and the Alliance in Support of the Patriotic Movement in China. After the 1989 Tiananmen incident, China labelled him a subversive and expelled him from Basic Law Drafting Committee. When the elected Legislative Council is replaced by a fully appointed provisional legislature after 30 June 1997, Szeto Wah will no longer be a legislator. In this article, he is interviewed to express his views on political situation and to give advice for students. |
