AbstractClinical experience suggests that some groups of Asian patients may be more sensitive to the lipid-lowering effects of HMG CoA (a drug) than Caucasians. The effects of different doses of simvastatin and lovastatin in a group of Chinese patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) are studied, to determine if the response was similar to that seen in other ethnic groups with this genetic condition. This is an abstract of the study.
