| Abstract | A Sino-British agreement was concluded in May 1996 on the terms for key franchises in the southern commercial area of the new airport relating to aircraft catering, air cargo, aviation fuel supply, aircraft maintenance and ramp handling with the signing of the Agreed Minutes for the award of the ramp handling and aircraft base and line maintenance franchises. There are three aircraft line and base maintenance franchises. Line maintenance will be carried out by China Aircraft Services Ltd (CASL) and Pan Asia Pacific Aviation Services Ltd (PAPAS), while a combined line and base maintenance franchises has been awarded to Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd (HAECO). |
