| Abstract | It is a buddhist belief that releasing animals will gain merit towards the merit towards the next incarnation. While the Society for the Preventation of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) (SPCA) supports any religious or secular effort to help animals, buying and releasing an animal often helps neither the individual animal nor its species. Veterinary Surgeon Dr Katriona Bradley has personally dealt with six cases in two months in earlier 1997 and knows of many more. |
