| Abstract | The British-run territory will revert to Chinese sovereignty in less than three months - which means, among other things, that Hong Kong-issued stamps bearing the image of Queen Elizabeth II will no longer be used as postage after 30 June 1997. The hope in Hong Kong is that these colonial stamps would become collector's items that would fetch huge sums in the years to come. The rarer the item, the more money serious collectors will pay for it. Some of the rare items are introudced in this article. |
