AbstractFor the past year, Beijing Opera, an art form that many fans consider one of China's national treasures, has found itself the center of national attention. Not all the recent focus on Beijing Opera has been positive. In fact, many of the art's greatest supporters are pondering its future and, indeed, questioning if it even has one. This article examines the problems and ways to survive.
