Is Part OfOne earth ; no.33, Spr 1997, p.6-9, +2p., illus.
AbstractWater shortage is no stranger to Hong Kong. To quell the thirst, the territory relies almost completely on an outside source. But dependence has led to a kind of complacency - a belief that fresh water is not finite. The truth is just the opposite. While Hong Kong's government may pretend otherwise, threats to supply and security loom dangerously near.
