Is Part OfTextile Asia : the Asian textile & apparel monthly ; v.28, no.1, Jan 1997, p.65-66.
AbstractChecking import licences at various points for wool in 1994-95, the China Customs discovered that out of the 95,000 tonnes imported there were 68 cases of shipments violating normal import procedures, and 31 cases of shipments through illegitimate channels, to a total quantity of 5,414 tonnes, with some of the offenders already fined and import duties paid. The Jiangsu Bureau of Commerce has directed the importing enterprises to examine strictly the terms and conditions of purchase contracts for raw wool from foreign suppliers, to ensure the quantity and quality reach the required standards.
