| Abstract | Car distributors in Hong Kong have had a tough couple of years since early 1994. In that time, sales have plummeted, margins have been severely eroded and staff have had to be laid off. The heady days of complacency were replaced by detailed examination of all significant expenditure, cancellation of sporting and cultural sponsorship, and a close look at the all important bottom line. Helped by the introduction of several new models in the latter few months of 1996, dealers are welcoming 1997 with renewed enthusiasm. This article looks at these new models. |
