| Abstract | The author, the managing director of New World Development and also the chairman of the advisory committee of The Better Hong Kong Foundation, believes that 1 July 1997 is not the death of but the birth of Hong Kong. A new Hong Kong is emerging, one even more closely linked to one of the world's biggest economies, a city possessing all the sophisticated tools needed to help stimulate and drive China's development. No other city or country in Asia can come close to being this conduit for both business hardware and software. |
