| Abstract | According to the data provided by the Ministry of Electronic Industry, output value, sales income and pre-tax profits of China's electronic industry in 1996 reached 298.2 billion, 194.7 billion and 15.3 billion RMB yuan respectively, up 20.7%, 18% and 5% over 1995. A number of information projects set to be constructed in the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000) on a priority basis made new progress in 1996. |
