Abstract | Newspaper price wars do little to change circulation numbers as quality, not cover price, remains the top draw for readers in the long run, said Steve Garton, director of SRG Hong Kong. Speaking at the Newspaper Publisher's Expo in Hong Kong, Mr Garton outlined the consequences of price wars in Britain, Hong Kong and Taiwan which all showed the same result: price reductions had little effect on circulation. |
