| Abstract | A visit to the home of Rusy Shroff and his wife Purviz brings first impressions of a man who has led a charmed life. Security guards accompany the visitors in 'Mr Rusy's' private lift up to a penthouse apartment with stunning views of Central. Dotted among the elegant furnishings in neutral and pastel colours are Purviz's Lladro and Hummel porcelain collections and on the walls hang the colourful paintings of Yankel Ginzburg. Shroff, born in 1917, is a genteel host, and as he talks about his life and expresses satisfaction with everything he has today. |
