| Abstract | The Hanzhong area of Hubei Province has worked out a telecom development plan for the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000). The plan prescribes that the economic indices and communications capability of the telecom sector will be increased by twice and 1.5 times, respectively, in the next five years. A total of 500 million RMB yuan is planned to be invested in the telecom sector. |
