Abstract | China has installed across the country more than 30,000 kilometers of long-distance optical fibre cable trunks and a considerable length of provincial optical fibre trunks. A sharp increase in circuits has caused a lot of problems in regard to the system of organization of the long-distance communications network, the network structure, the transit and dispatch of circuits, the way of building fibre trunk lines, and the maintenance and management of the trunk network, and has forced to optimize the construction of a long-distance communications network as quickly as possible. This article provides a discussion on the optimization of fibre trunk networks. |
