| Abstract | United Communications Co. (Lian Tong) has completed its inter-facing junction offices in the cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Gunagzhou and Shijiazhuang. They have opened 130,000 lines for service. Work is now under way on the construction of interfacing junctions in 11 other cities. The first long-haul transmission line to be built by Unicom, connecting Beijing and Tianjin (with a length of 150 kilometers), will also be completed within the year to provide 7,560 circuits. |
