| Abstract | The MTR (Mass Transit Railway) Safety Day Variety Show was held on 30 November 1996 at Hong Kong Heng Fa Chuen Covered Podium as a highlight of the Safety Day campaign. This event was jointly organised by the MTR Corporation and RTHK (Radio Television Hong Kong) Radio 2 with the aim of promoting safety among passengers at all times when they are travelling on the MTR. Also, a press statement concerning the train service disruption at a number of stations on the Kwun Tong Line on 30 November 1996 is attached to the article. |
