Abstract | The huge success of China Can Say No, reported to have sold 800,000 copies, has produced a phenomenon which has become very common in China, at least since the beginning of the reforms: the "craze". Many publishers and authors have tried to take advantage of the fad, and there has been a proliferation of publications with more or less similar titles. In this article, the author briefly reviews three of the books: (1) "Zhongguo weishenme shuo bu" authored by Peng Qian; (2) "Zhongguo he hi shuo bu" authored by Zhang Xueli; and (3) "Zhongguo haishi neng shuo bu" authored by Qiao Bian. |
