| Abstract | This article is a research report by three students from the School of Business Management of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology which won The Best Student Projects Awards for the academic year 1995/96. Organized by the Personnel Management Committee of The Hong Kong Management Association, the award aims to provide financial support to postgraduates to enable them to produce well-researched projects. The objectives of their project are to explore current Chinese young professionals' perceptions towards job choice and job mobility and to identify and prioritize the attributes they are using in making job decisions; to look into current policies of recruitment and retention adopted by some foreign invested enterprises and to identify existing discrepancies between their pratice and employees' expectations. |
