| Abstract | Some argue that a complex of political and economic factors may keep China's transponder supply market in the status quo for the years to come. As soon as the MPT raises more capital, the Ministry can lease and/or purchase more international transponders. However, current market growth in satellite communications infrastructure will make the status quo impossible to last in the long run, given that the demand for transponders from all involved operators should become much bigger than the supply by year 2010. |
