| Abstract | Representatives from the Directorate-General of Telecommunications, PTAs of 13 provinces and autonomous regions as well as 13 domestic and overseas telecom manufacturers signed on 6 June 1996 in Beijing a memorandum on technological cooperation in experimentation with access network. However, the most important part of the experimentation is V5.1/V5.2 open interface. ITU-T has accepted the V5 interface standard suggested by ETSI. Sources of the industry predict that the MPT will make public shortly the Chinese version V5 standard. |
