| Abstract | According to a news briefing of the Ministry of Electronic Industry, with the joint efforts on the part of the MEI and other departments, the Golden Bridge, Golden Card, Golden Customs and Golden Taxation projects had made new progress in the first half of 1996. Meanwhile, production of and application service on equipment and products needed by the Golden serial projects have also made considerable progress. Major efforts are devoted to the development of intelligent cards, its reader and writer, application system, ATM, taxation computation machine, special printer, financial and commercial terminals in the hope that they may be marketed by the end of 1996. |
