| Abstract | After 90 days efforts by some 80 engineers of the Zhongxun-Yaxin Company, indoor on-line testing of the CHINANET backbone network has been completed and simulated operation of the network has got under way. Equipment have been delivered to various parts of the country for installation and 31 nodes of the network will go into operation by the end of June 1996. CHINANET will cover China's 30 provinces, autonomous regions and cities with the exception of Taiwan. |
