| Abstract | The international satellite circuits between Yanji of Jilin province in Northeast China and Seoul, capital of the Republic of Korea (ROK), was put into operation, making Yanji another international gateway of China. To improve telecom facilities, China has negotiated with the ROK on opening up satellite communications. As a result, an agreement was signed in December 1994 under which the Korea Telecom promised to aid Yanji in setting up a satellite ground station. |
