| Abstract | During his visit to China in February 1996, Mr. Sekimoto Tadahiro, chairman of NEC Electric Company of Japan, announced that NEC decided to set up the NEC (China) Company Ltd in Beijing in 1996 with a registered capital of US$30 million. Mr. Sekimoto added that establishment of the company will help NEC invest strategically in China's market. |
