| Abstract | Mr. Ouyang Zhongmou, chairman of the China Electronic Information Industrial Group Company (CEC), announced that in the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000), CEC will place its priority on the construction of two basic industries involving intergrated circuits and display. Development of the following leading industries will be speeded up: computer and computer application technology, consumer electronic products, software industry, telecom products, products for network value-added services and system engineering. Furthermore, two network service systems involving information and value-added services will be established. |
