| Abstract | The ATM broad band telecom experimental network, wireless packet switched data experimental network and ISDN in Shanghai were put into commercial operation. By using a pair of traditional telephone line, ISDN in Shanghai is capable of providing users with a digital path with a band width of 2B+D. It can be connected with eight different terminals and allows three terminals to conduct simultaneous communications. In addition to telephone calls, users can use the network for video telephone calls, data communications, high-speed fax and video conference. |
