| Abstract | The Datong PT Office in Shanxi province has made remarkable achievement in developing wireless communications services. Wireless communications services in the city have generated a revenue worth some 120 million RMB yuan since they were put into operation. Income derived from call charges alone has topped 42 million RMB yuan. The numbers of subscribers to mobile phone and radio paging services reached 11,000 and 40,000 respectively. To meet the ever increasing need for mobile communications system is planned to put into operation in 1997. |
